This is such a cute video of Jon Schmidt's children. The music is actually Jon Schmidt on the Piano and Ryan Shupe on the Violin while the video is of Jon's five children playing along. It's too cute when one of the Drummers loses one of his drumsticks :)
Watching these Christmas Music Videos, just imagine what Christmas would be like in a family like this. I'm sure they have many wonderful Christmas memories just like you do!
Even though Jingle Bells is now considered one of the most classic Christmas Songs, it was originally written for a Thanksgiving Day program! It was such a big hit that they performed it again for the Christmas program. Aren't you glad it was such a hit back then!
Growing up, I always enjoyed listening to the Boston Pop's music and their version of Sleigh Ride is definitely my favorite version of the song. Here John Williams conducts the Boston Pops Orchestra in a live performance!
I really love how much the brass plays out during their solo towards the end, it's so fun :) And of course who couldn't love it at the end when the trumpeter tries to sound like a horse!
I'm amazed at how many different ways Pachelbel's Canon can be played and still be a recognizable version of it. It's only eight chords that are repeated in whatever different way you want to play it!
The song below is a lovely song sung by two lovely sisters remembering the wonderful Christmases of the past spent with the Grandparents and parents.
This Christmas song lyrics title, A Weihnacht Wie Es Fruher War, translates to A Christmas Like It Used To.
This is one of my favorite songs. These two sisters sing it so beautifully! Ave Maria, wenn ich ein Glocklein War which means Hail Mary, if I were a bell is a song that they sing every year on Christmas at Church.
