The Auctioneer is a song written by Leroy Van Dyke himeself about his second cousin who became a famous auctioneer. An interesting thing is that this song was written in the 50's and this cousin was such a famous actioneer that he had to buy his own plane to take him around to the different auctions.
This pieces is about a boy who makes a bet against that devil that he is a better fiddler. It is amazing to see Charlie Daniels play this piece. He sure can play the fiddle! The video below is of him performing the night that he was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.
